Walking in Memory of Debbie

I am participating in Lustgarten’s Walk for Pancreatic Cancer Research in memory of Debbie, someone who meant so much to me, my family, my practice, and so many of the patients she cared for over the years.

Debbie was much more than an employee or coworker. She was family. She played an important role in the success of my practice, just as she had done for Dr. Frizell and my father’s practice before me. She was truly the face of our practice, and her absence is felt every single day.

What made Debbie so special was the way she cared. She brought a positive, can-do attitude to work every day and never hesitated to do whatever was needed to make sure things were done right. Most importantly, she advocated for every single patient. She took the time to know them as people—not simply as a name on a schedule or a tooth that needed to be treated. She made sure no one slipped through the cracks, and our patients loved her for it.

Debbie often arrived early and stayed late, making sure every detail was taken care of. She gave so much of herself without ever asking for anything in return. She represented a level of professionalism, dedication, and genuine compassion that is rare, and her impact on our practice and the people we cared for cannot be measured.

My children loved seeing Debbie at the office and still ask about her. That says so much about the kind of person she was. She wasn’t simply part of our team—she became part of our family.

We miss Debbie tremendously, and we continue to struggle with the reality that she is no longer here. But I want to honor her by doing something that can help other families avoid experiencing this same loss.

That is why I am walking for pancreatic cancer research.

I hope you will consider making a donation in Debbie’s memory. Your support will help fund research focused on earlier detection, better treatments, and ultimately a cure for this devastating disease.

For Debbie, for her family, and for all the families whose lives have been touched by pancreatic cancer, I’m asking you to join me in this fight.

Every donation, regardless of the amount, helps. And if you are unable to donate, sharing this page with others is another meaningful way to help.

Debbie gave so much to all of us. This is one small way I can give something back in her memory.

We love you, Debbie. We miss you every day, and you will always be a part of our team and our family.
