While my brother Joey was battling Stage IV bile duct cancer, the Blackburn family showed our family such incredible kindness, compassion, and support. When you care for a loved one who is terminally ill, your perspective on life and the world around you changes in ways you never could have imagined.

After experiencing that kindness during one of the most difficult times in our lives, I hope to pay it forward by showing the same compassion and support to others who are facing the devastating loss and heartache that my family has experienced.
