Arlene's Army

Staten Island Walk

We're fundraising for Arlene Montalvo

This team has been put together by Arlene's husband and four sons to honor her legacy. In 2022, we learned that she had Pancreatic Cancer and underwent immediate Wipple surgery to try and get the cancer out before it was too late. She underwent Chemo afterwards, and was declared cancer-free by the end of the year. Unfortunately, in March of 2023, it had returned. She had ultimately lost her battle in October 2023 due to complications with Chemo / Radiation treatment.

Her family and all those around her were and still are devastated by her lose. Arlene was honored to cut the ribbon of the Staten Island Lustgarten walk in both 2022 and 2023. 2024 was the first walk without her, but we came together and helped break fundraising records by raising over $20,000 for the first time ever.

Please help us honor our mother and help us make sure that no other family has to go through what we did, and still are. With your help, we will make sure there is a cure.
