Our team is participating in Lustgarten's Walk for Pancreatic Cancer Research to celebrate the progress that has been made and to power tomorrow's research. We are walking in memory of Captain Philip “Fud” Pinto Jr.
Captain Phil "Fud" Pinto was a member of the Eastchester Fire Department and dutifully served his community for over 32 years. Phil was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer in February of 2021. Though he fought his battle with dignity, strength, and tenacity, Phil ultimately lost his battle with the disease on January 8, 2022 at a shy 54 years old.
Phil, better known as "Fud" to those who knew and loved him, was highly esteemed by his peers and community. It is the wish of his family and friends that no other individual or family should have to suffer a loss to pancreatic cancer. Our heartfelt thank you to everyone who can contribute and support our mission!
