On March 27, 2025, I received devastating news. I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Pancreatic Cancer. Over the course of the year, I went to Dana Farber for treatment. I did 12 rounds of a very aggressive chemo regimen called Folfirinox and then 28 rounds of radiation. Thankfully I tolerated both treatments well. Then at the end of February 2026, I had the Nanoknife surgery in Hollywood, Florida.
Last year I participated in the Lustgarten Foundation raising money for pancreatic cancer research and walked in their annual pancreatic cancer walk. I had a team of friends and family who walked with me.
This year, the walk will be held on Sunday, Sept.27th from 9am to noon at the Large Pavilion in the Elm Avenue Town Park in Delmar. There will be raffle items, music, a 50/50 raffle, pet parade and door prizes. After the walk, I am inviting everyone over to my house for Romo’s pizza and wings.
