Run, Walk, Fight: 5k a Day Movement Challenge for PC Awareness Month
Each step I take of these 5k's are steps of strength for all of those who are fighting this awful disease. I hope my daily movement offers those impacted by this disease hope, comfort and a reminder that they do not fight alone. This pancreatic cancer awareness month I'm lacing up and fighting back, one 5K at a time!

With a 5-year survival rate of just 13%, early detection and research are critical to changing these numbers, and your support can make a real difference. That is why I'm using these 5ks to not just raise awareness, but funds for the Lustgarten Foundation which is dedicated to advancing research and giving hope to those affected by this relentless disease.Join me in honoring Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month and helping us move closer to a cure.

In Honor Of Gary Oberle, Age 44
Thank you for raising awareness. My father passed away age 44 on 5:29/99 (25 years ago today!) I came across your page today and it made me so happy to see someone talking about pancreatic cancer awareness. I was young when he passed but continued to do my research. Then in 2012, his father (and my grandfather) also passed away of pancreatic cancer at age 86. I soon after enrolled in a clinical blood trial to help identify markers for early detection and learned that insurance would pay for a screening protocol (every year I alternate between an MRI of the pancreas and an EUS of the pancreas.) All of my siblings do the same as well. Thank you for all that you do!
