For Mom and Dad 💜

In September 2022, my sibling and I received news that would change our life forever when we learned that our mother had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She fought a good fight for the better part of a year, but sadly, we lost her in August 2023. 

Not even one month after her passing, our father was also diagnosed with this devastating disease. He passed away in January, only two days into 2024. 

Losing both of our parents within four and a half months of each other to the same insidious illness was a plot so tragically improbably that had we pitched it as a plot to all the major movie studios, it would have been turned down for being too unlikely and sad. 

We will never stop raising funds or awareness for pancreatic cancer. No family should ever have to endure what we've all been through these last couple of years. We have been working with the Lustgarten Foundation since 2010, when our grandmother succumbed to pancreatic cancer as well, and we chose this organization because they are the nation’s largest private funder of pancreatic cancer research. Thanks to separate funding of administrative expenses, 100% of my fundraising and your donation funds go directly toward the mission. Together, we will raise more money for research advancements than my sibling and I ever could alone.

We are participating in Lustgarten's Walk for Pancreatic Cancer Research this October to celebrate the progress that has been made and to power tomorrow's research for early detection and new treatments.
