Hi and thank you for visiting my personal page. My name is Aurora and this is my 10th year participating with The Lustgarten Foundation Walk. I participate in this walk in loving memory of my father, Juan A. Diaz, who was diagnosed in May 2014 and gained his wings on September 6, 2015.
Seeing my dad battle pancreatic cancer was truly the hardest thing I have ever had to watch, and I do not wish that on anyone. My father is missed deeply every day because in one word he was just AMAZING. There is not one day that goes by that I don’t pray to him because living this life without him has been no easy task. My heart hurts for my kids that never got to physically meet their grandfather, but thankfully we carry the faith he always did and we know he is always watching over us.
Why Lustgarten? They are the nation’s largest private funder of pancreatic cancer research. Thanks to separate funding of administrative expenses, 100% of my fundraising and your donation funds pancreatic cancer research - research led by Lustgarten and powered by you! Together, we will raise more money for research advancements than I ever could alone.
