In April 2010 my mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. We barely got our heads around this news when she passed 10 weeks later.In September 2022 my sister Robin was diagnosed with this insidious disease. She fought bravely, but sadly she passed in August 2023.
In October 2023 we found out my brother in law , Fred, was also diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. We lost him 2 days into 2024.
Robin and Fred were the parents of my 2 nieces, Shane and Alyssa. They were truly dealt a terrible blow.
My nieces and I are walking to raise money on Oct 6 to fund research for early detection, updated treatments and possibly a cure.
Our family does not want other families to go through what we and especially my nieces have gone through.
