Long Island Walk

In Honor of Lois, Robin, and Fred

In August of 2023, my aunt - one of my mom's beloved siblings - passed away after fighting pancreatic cancer for almost a year. My dear cousins Shane and Alyssa barely had time to pick the pieces of their lives back up and lay their mother to rest before their father was diagnosed with this insidious cancer as well. We lost my uncle right at the beginning of the year.
This has been such a gut-wrenching loss felt by my entire family, but none more than my two cousins. Losing both parents in a span of months to the same cancer that claimed our grandmother back in 2010 is devastating and nothing they or we should ever have to go through.
There is so much more known about pancreatic cancer now than there was when my grandmother was diagnosed and that's only because of the contributions and donations that make research possible! Finding a cure for pancreatic cancer means no one ever has to feel the pain my two cousins and my family has felt ever again.
Any contribution is much appreciated!
