In Memory of Coach Chris

This year, we are again participating in Lustgarten's Walk for Pancreatic Cancer Research in memory of our dear friend Chris Woolis, who passed away from pancreatic cancer in September 2025.

To know Chris was to know someone who made every person feel valued. He was a devoted husband, father, coach, mentor, and friend whose impact extended far beyond the baseball field. Through his years of coaching, Chris shaped the lives of countless young athletes, teaching lessons about teamwork, perseverance, character, and kindness that stayed with them long after the final inning.

What made Chris truly extraordinary was his ability to find light in even life's darkest moments. Chris turned grief into purpose, inspiring those around him to do the same. That was simply who he was. He always found a way to lift others up. We will carry on his amazing memory by doing the same.

This year, we walk not only to honor Chris's memory, but also to carry forward the hope and resilience he embodied. We walk for his family, for the many players and friends whose lives he touched, and for the thousands of families facing pancreatic cancer today - and dealing with its devastating impact.
