Westchester County Walk

Team Judy

During the summer of 2018, our Mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. She bravely proceeded with the most aggressive treatment possible, willing to do whatever it would take to continue to live her life, with us and her animals. She wanted to continue living the life she loved!

After less than a month of treatment she ended up in the hospital, with basically every complication and freak symptom you could ever imagine. It was baffling to the doctors, and incredibly hard on her, of course. She remained strong and in good spirits - making us laugh and smile everyday, despite her pain. Jenny and I never left her side.

A very short 5 months after her diagnosis, our Mom passed away. She may not have beaten cancer based on the textbook definition, but there's a quote that says, "You beat cancer by how you live, why you live, and the manner in which you live." And based on this quote, our Mom beat cancer. She beat it in her heart. We are the ones who lost. We lost our Mom, our best friend, and our girls lost more than they'll ever know by not having her in their lives.

We walk in this walk in hopes of improving Pancreatic Cancer research - in hopes that someday there will be an end to this and no one will have to feel the heartache we felt, and still feel.

Please join us! We are a very strong Team Judy. We walked in support of her as she was fighting, and now we continue to walk in her memory.
