I'm fundraising for Kathy's Crew.
Last year, pancreatic cancer changed our world forever. After being diagnosed in May 2023, our mom, Kathy, fought with incredible courage for nearly two years. In February 2025, we lost her. She was a devoted wife, a compassionate and selfless mother, a proud and adoring grandmother, the kind who showed up for every moment, big and small, who listened without judgment and guided with quiet strength. She was our heart, our steady place, the one who held everything (and everyone) together.
This June, we walk for her.
We created Kathy’s Crew to honor her life, her strength, and the quiet, unwavering love she gave so freely. What began as a way to survive the heartbreak has become something more. It’s a way to carry her forward with purpose.
Pancreatic cancer is relentless. It moves quickly and steals far too much. Too many families know this pain. That’s why we show up. We walk. We fundraise. We refuse to let her story end with loss alone.
Research matters. Early detection matters. Better treatment matters. More time matters.
If you knew our mom, you knew her warmth. You knew her kindness. You knew her laugh. She believed deeply in showing up for people, and in choosing kindness, even on the hard days. We like to think she’ll be cheering us on in the sunshine, reminding us to stay strong, stay grateful, and stay together.
Kathy’s Crew is about more than a walk. It’s about love that doesn’t end. It’s about turning grief into action. It’s about making sure other families have more time than we did.
