WE WALK FOR HOPE!

2024 marks 38 years since the passing of my father - AVEDIS CETIN MD - from pancreatic cancer. For over a decade, my family and I have participated, rain or shine, in support of the Lustgarten Foundation's Long Island Pancreatic Cancer Walk as members of team ProHEALTH Pediatrics. The past two years we were proud to be one of the top fundraising teams!

We also walk in memory of: JESUS ZAMORA SR., CLAIRE SALEM, SUSAN GANG, ROSE ESCOBAR, GARBIS CANKOSYAN MD and many others who have lost their battle against pancreatic cancer.

While much has been learned about this dreadful disease over the past three decades, there is still so much more that needs to be discovered. The 5-year survival rate for pancreatic cancer remains terribly low and most individuals are diagnosed too late for any therapies to be effective. Each day many families are faced with losing a loved one to this horrific disease. It is only with research that we will be able to transform pancreatic cancer into a curable disease. Research requires funding and that is why my family and I walk each year to raise funds for the Lustgarten Foundation. Every dollar we raise goes directly to fund much needed research!

Each year we add more names to our list of family and friends that we have lost to pancreatic cancer. Please join us in helping find a cure!
