We're fundraising for a cure, in memory of my husband - Lou

Friday 10th Jul
My husband, Lou was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in June 2024. As we were walking back to our car from Dana Farber he said he planned on fighting this for as long as he could. He always remained positive no matter the chemo side effects or scan results. Lou was well enough to walk with the team in last year's event. It was one of the best days. Meeting so many other pancreatic cancer warriors being 5 yrs or more post diagnosis was really empowering. He had found his community and kept in touch with some during the year.

Recent scans revealed that his cancer had metastaticized to his lungs. Still remaining in good spirits while deciding to enter into hospice. He had fought so hard, but was at peace with making this decision.

Team Mattuchio is participating in Lustgarten's Walk for Pancreatic Cancer Research to celebrate the progress that has been made and to power tomorrow's research. Support our team and embrace Lustgarten's vision of transforming pancreatic cancer into a curable disease. Join our team, donate to our team, provide hope to thousands of families touched by this devastating disease.

Why Lustgarten? They are the nation’s largest private funder of pancreatic cancer research. Thanks to separate funding of administrative expenses, 100% of our fundraising and your donation funds pancreatic cancer research - research led by Lustgarten and powered by you! With your support, we will raise more money for research advancements than we ever could alone.
