I'm fundraising for "Team Jimmy Joe"
Dear Friends & Family,
On Sunday June 1st I am fundraising and walking for the 18 Hole Stroll, an exciting and heartwarming fundraising walk honoring the lives of those lost to pancreatic cancer and providing hope for all impacted by this devastating disease. This wonderful event benefits the Lustgarten Foundation, the largest private funder of the world’s preeminent pancreatic cancer researchers - 100% of my fundraising will fund this critical research.
This stroll was founded by Brittany Vose who lost her father, John Vose, to pancreatic cancer at just 5 years old. As the years passed, she felt compelled to spread awareness and support research around this devastating and historically underfunded disease. Since its inception, the 18 Hole Stroll has raised over $850K in support of the Lustgarten Foundation, with a goal of breaking $1M!
Almost 2 years ago we walked with "Team Jimmy Joe" which honored our dear friend Jimmy Aglio, who sadly passed not long after that first walk. We are again walking as "Team Jimmy Joe", but for me this fight is much more personal as in 1998 after a 3 year battle my mother Ada Coppola Amodio passed from this very same fight with pancreatic cancer. So, I walk for her too and with her memory, and for so many others who are fighting this battle.
